Obituary for Steven N. "Steve" Baryk
Steven "Steve" Baryk, 65, of Kunkletown, passed away Saturday, July 13 in St. Luke's Hospital Anderson Campus.
He was the loving husband of Sharon (Contino) Baryk. They celebrated their 39th wedding anniversary in March.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Mike Baryk and the late Anna (Juried) Baryk.
Steve was a truck driver for Nabisco for over twenty years. He was a member of the Local 807 Union in Queens, NY for many years. He was considered a movie guru and had an impressive collection of movies at home. He was proud to become a grandfather in 2018. He loved his dog Bentley, and he was known for always wearing sunglasses. Since 2006, he battled from Wegner's GPA Auto Immune Disease, but never let that stop him from being the social bee that he was, as he was always happy everyone knew him by name. Most of all, despite his hardships with his ailments, he always thought about everyone else first. He was very caring, and always took care of others in need. He will be deeply missed by all of his friends and family.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Jacqueline "Jackie" Greene and her husband Daniel of Kunkletown, Nicole Baryk of Kunkletown; and a grandson, Conor Greene.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, July 18 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Friday, July 19 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM from the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209, Brodheadsville. Burial will follow in Gilbert Cemetery.
